Publishers’ Pet Peeves

Over the next few weeks I will be contacting Australian Publishers & Editors of Children’s books and asking them…

What are your Pet Peeves?

So far the response has been fantastic. It seems that publishers are more than happy to help educate their potential writers as to what NOT to do to avoid any needless aggravation.

In next week’s issue of PASS IT ON, I will be including some general responses from a number of publishers as well as specific Pet Peeves from Dyan Blacklock, Publisher and General Manager of Omnibus Books.

If you are at that stage in your writing where you feel ready to begin submitting your work then you can’t afford to miss this opportunity.

If you don’t yet subscribe to PASS IT ON and you’d like to sample a free copy, contact me jackiehosking [at] bigpond [dot] com and I’ll get one right to you.

And don’t worry writers – I will be following up Publishers’ Pet Peeves with What gets on a Writer’s Wick, so get your thinking hats on and let me know.

And remember…Knowledge is Power, pass it on.

  1. Great idea Jackie. I love how Pass It On is constantly evolving. Can’t wait to hear what the publishers have to say!

    1. And it is my hope that both writers and publishers will benefit from this exercise, the relationship is after all, symbiotic.
